John Dickerson, President
John Dickerson was born in Dallas and graduated from Highland Park High School. A member of the
Corps of Cadets, he received a Bachelors degree from Texas A&M in 1987 and his Masters Degree in
Real Estate and Land Economics in 1989. While at Texas A&M, he commanded the 144 member Ross
Volunteer which serves as the Honor Guard for the Governor of Texas.
He began his real estate career in 1988 with an internship at Lincoln Property Company and went on to
become an associate with Hank Dickerson and Company. He initially specialized in land sales. He
became president of Hank Dickerson and company in 1996. Under his leadership the company has
established itself as a premier developer of residential master planned communities, national build-tosuits,
and multi tenant neighborhood retail centers.
Mr. Dickerson is also a founder of Highlands Bancshares and sits on the board and Executive Board of
Directors. He is also the Chairman of the Board and serves a 4 year term on the Board of Directors for
Goodwill Industries of Dallas.
John and his wife Melinda have 2 children and are members of Park Cities Baptist Church. He is also a
rancher and avid big game hunter.
Sam Gruner, Associate
Sam Gruner also attended Texas A&M and was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He received a degree in Industrial Distribution in 1999. He specializes in retail pad sites, project leasing, commercial and national accounts, and securing sites for new residential developments.
Jean Gallina, Controller
Jean Gallina grew up in Sheffield, Iowa and graduated from Central University in Pella, Iowa with a BA in accounting. Before joining Hank Dickerson & Company 17 years ago, she worked for Fudruckers' IPO and USAA Real Estate Investments. Jean is responsible for all financial transactions and accounting.
