History

Founded in 1959 by Henry H. Dickerson, the company grew into one of the largest full service brokerage houses in Texas during the 1970s and 1980s. In addition, the company developed single family lots and industrial parks. HD&CO assembled the land for well known developments, such as Trinity Mills Industrial Park in Carrollton, The Colony and Solona Business Park in Southlake.

With a foundation in real estate brokerage and development, the company made a strategic decision to specialize in the early 1990s. With knowledge about land development and expertise gathered over many years, HD&CO began to focus on residential master planned communities, retail pad sites and national build-to-suits. Believing that real estate is a local business, the company has continued to operate in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex for over 46 years.

Today, under the leadership of John Dickerson, H&CO has established a reputation for quality developments. The same integrity that the name stands for has allowed the company to establish enduring partnerships with investors, home builders, city staffs, lenders and property owners.
